Some of my favorite things this month...
1. Mapiful
Why I recommend Mapiful...
I love my Mapiful map! I recently got one (pictured above) of my hometown, Chicago.
It is such a great holiday gift for a travel lover or someone who holds a special city in their heart. You can personalize colors, area, fonts, etc!
They also have maps of the starry sky on certain nights (someone I know got a star map of the night they got engaged), personalized picture collages, and horoscope maps.s!

2. The New Guide Feature on Instagram
Why I love this...
Like many others, I have a lot of feelings about the new Instagram layout.
BUT, I love the new "guides" feature!
It lets me share some of my larger blog guides with you through my Instagram account, making it easier for you to check out some guides/lists of foods to try depending on where you are traveling to!
Head over to the new guides area of my page and check out some I've already made for your next trip.
Is there a blog post you love on Meat on Her Bones, but is missing on my guides page? Let me know!

3. Rasa, DC Restaurant
I visited Rasa for the first time last month, now that they have opened up a location right next to my home, and was SO impressed! It is a great fast casual spot, similar to Sweetgreen, Chipotle, etc., where you can pick a bowl on their menu or create your own.
They are local and family owned, with delicious Indian staples and huge flavor. I met the two owners, and they are truly wonderful people. You can order online or head to one of their two locations in DC (Mt. Vernon Triangle & Navy Yard).
P.S. Their cocktails are unbelievable. Honestly, the "Spicy Mumbai Mule" they made for me is one of the best cocktails I have tasted in a long time!

4. Torino Ramen, Chicago Restaurant
A delicious north shore find!
My mom actually knows the owner of this amazing ramen and sushi shop, so we had to give it a try this holiday season. We ordered a feast of food: ramens (the seasonal ginger is amazing!), bao, sushi, and drinks. It blew me away! Best ramen in the area by far -- so authentic and delicious.
If you are gluten free- no problem! They have an entire, delicious gluten free menu!
PS if you are looking for a fun and yummy holiday activity to safely enjoy, they also have an amazing sushi making kit you can bring home and try!
A bit more about Torino Ramen...
"Torino opened its door to the north suburbs of Chicago in 2017 focusing on creating the traditional authentic ramen. In 2019 Kaiseki Torino started as a Kaiseki dining pop-up by Chef Hayashi. This reservation only event has been Chicago North Shore’s premier Japanese dining experience. In Fall of 2019, new BAR area was added with more seating and a full bar selection of Japanese inspired drinks."

5. Know Your Aura Pod, Mystic Michaela Podcast
Do you love reading about enneagrams? Love languages? Horoscopes?
Even if you don't “believe” in it, finding new ways to understand & learn more about yourself and those around you is always beneficial.
Michaela talks about personalities and seeing your "true self" in colors. Similar to other personality "tests," auras are simply a way to see people in a new light, understand their hopes and fears, and learn more about yourself.
I love what I've learned through this pod!
