Lights, camera, action!
Disney World's Hollywood Studios is an excellent park for movie lovers - full of movie themed experiences, shows, and swag. There are sections dating back years (for example, the well-loved Rock 'n Roll Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith), while other areas are brand new and amazingly creative (hello, Star Wars and Pixar sections). Hollywood Studios is also full of fun snacks and foods! Below are some of my favorite stops for your next visit...
The Hollywood Brown Derby
Located on Hollywood Boulevard
Right off the main strip, this is a great spot to reserve a table if you’re looking for something a bit more high-end and memorable. With delicious, larger dishes and a great interior, I might make a reservation here for a fun date night or family dinner.
The Trolley Car Cafe
Located on Hollywood Boulevard
If you’re looking for a quick bite and coffee right when you enter the park- go straight to the Trolley Car Cafe! Starbucks and snacks galore.
This definitely came in handy when we were required to wake up at 6am to beat the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge rush. Grab your ride time slot, then grab some energy!
50’s Prime Time Cafe or Hollywood & Vine
Located on Echo Lake
Styled like a 50’s diner, I would recommend this spot if you are interest in sitting down and grabbing a filling lunch. There are a few lighter lunch spots, but this is better for a family that needs to take a load off for an hour and have a real sit down meal.
The aesthetic is so charming!
Epic Eats
Located on Echo Lake
Ice cream and funnel cake booth- no other explanation needed! (yum)
BaseLine Tap House
Located on Grand Avenue
If you want to make a little brewery stop and rest for feet for an afternoon drink, this is the perfect spot for you. Around 3pm, we all gathered around a table with beers, ciders, and soft pretzels. It was an excellent break in our day, and the pretzels were delicious!
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
Located on Grand Avenue
My family has been eating lunch here every Disney trip for as long as I can remember. The area around it has changed dramatically over the years, but Mama Melrose's has stayed the same. A classic, easy, Italian restaurant, great for picky eaters that want a good selection. The interior is so fun, with old wood beams, fun memorabilia on the wall, and stringed lights all around. I love getting their pizza, a few adult drinks, and an espresso to keep me going the rest of the long day.
My favorite in the park! Reservations recommended.
Ronto’s Roasters
Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
The Star Wars section of Hollywood Studios is one of the best additions in recent years. It definitely lives up to the hype, transporting you to a different galaxy through and through.
You’ve probably heard of the long wait times and timed entries for the rides in Galaxy’s Edge, making an early morning a likely possibility. Ronto's Roasters is a great spot to swing by and grab light meals and snacks. Plus, the selection is so creative and on-theme! Not recommended for picky eaters, but definitely recommended for Star Wars themed snacks.
Milk Stand
Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Green or blue? Both are fun to try! The "milk" is basically a flavored creamy slushy (alcoholic and non alcoholic available!). You can find this small stand around the corner from the main attractions. Might have a long line, but it moves quickly! Plus, it gives you more time to engage with those storm troopers wandering around.
Oga’s Cantina
Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
If you love Star Wars like me, you’ll remember the famous cantina scenes with Han. Oga’s Cantina is an amazing ode to that, with crazy creative drinks (like ones that glow or pop), fun music, and excellent aesthetic. I highly recommend getting reservations at this cocktail bar for the end of the night, definitely one of the absolute best in all of Disney World. And don’t worry, you can bring kids along too.
Woody’s Lunchbox
Located in Toy Story Land
The cutest addition to Hollywood Studios! Disney did such an amazing job with the newer Toy Story Land. It immediately transports you into a world where you feel toy-sized yourself, with ginormous blocks, fun rides, and cute colors. Woody's Lunchbox is another easy spot to grab snacks or a light meal, especially if you are with pickier eaters. I mean, how about those cheese curds!
